The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) hosts the Ovation Awards annually to honor industry players with outstanding achievements in their fields. This year, Withum team members Bill Bradshaw, Lauren Naples and Ed Mendlowitz are honored in three of the seven Ovation Award Categories.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Bill Bradshaw, Director of Inclusion and Diversity, was selected for his dedication to I&D in the accounting profession. His mission is to create and foster an environment where team members can bring their authentic selves to work. His efforts in establishing Withum’s Team Member Resource Groups (TMRG) and championing underrepresented talent have helped make Withum an employer of choice.
Woman to Watch
Lauren Naples, Senior Manager and Team Co-Leader of Education Services, was selected as a Woman to Watch honoree. As a mentor to many and a member of Withum’s Women of Withum (WoW) TMRG, Lauren is dedicated to fostering the success of her colleagues. Through her leadership on the Education Services and Hospitality teams, she has seen great success in her work and has even brought her energy and talent to helping the greater community. Lauren serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for The Arc of Monmouth, Inc. and is the Co-Chair and Committee Member of the American Cancer Society Tides of Change group.
Lifetime Leader
As the sole honoree of the Lifetime Leader Award, Ed Mendlowitz was recognized for his exceptional and remarkable contributions to New Jersey’s accounting profession over the course of his career. With over 60 years of experience, Ed has been so much more than a CPA—he led his own practice, testified in court as an expert witness, authored books, served as an adjunct professor, still lectures, writes blogs, serves as a thought leader and he still advises on business valuation. Most recently, Ed established the Mendlowitz Family Scholarship at his alma mater, Baruch.
