Since 1977, Withum became one of the first non-national accounting firms to voluntarily join the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) SEC Practice Section and the Private Companies Practice Section, subjecting the firm to a peer review every three years. Since then, the AICPA, which provides oversight to firms across the U.S., has recognized Withum for its 14 consecutive passing peer reviews.
Withum also is subject to periodic inspections by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), a private-sector, nonprofit corporation created to oversee the auditors of public companies in order to protect the interest of investors. Our participation in this program validates our uncompromising commitment to excellence, integrity and independence, which in turn provides you with the highest degree of ethical standards and professionalism.
