Marking anniversaries is a way to note changes or chart progress. Most people do not usually think about the significance of growth or changes while they are going through the process and an anniversary is one way of reflecting on it.

This blog is the 927th that has been posted on this site. I wrote most of them but also had some guest writers and some collaborators that had greater expertise in some areas I wanted to call attention to. All in all, I am very satisfied with the body of knowledge represented in these blogs and thank all my readers and especially those that email me their comments and suggestions.

The primary focus of the blogs is to present solutions to issues clients express concerns about. My original intention was to use this as a sounding board against conventional wisdom that I felt was off base, but doing that on a continuous basis would likely have presented me as some sort of angry iconoclast or curmudgeon. This blog has developed to covering current business, investment and financial planning issues, and while I threw in some political issues that were nonpartisan such as the importance of voting if you felt that it was important to get like-minded (to you) people appointed to the Supreme Court. I posted this during the 2012 campaign and this became a major reality during Donald Trump’s presidency. I have an interest in history and threw in some blogs I felt would have a widespread interest and also included some self-help nonbusiness blogs.

The beauty of a blog is that they are short and to the point. The beast about the blogs is that they are short. A typical blog takes me about an hour to write getting all my thoughts down; but then the editing can take upwards of two hours to make it right to the point with no added verbiage. Sometimes I get lucky and it is good to go right away and sometimes I want to cover a broader area and I post something beyond my original self-imposed word count of 270 words which is the length of the Gettysburg Address. I’ve since extended this limit to 400 words and can tell you that I am now exceeding that here, so I will stop.

I just want to add one comment. The support I get on this at Withum is beyond great and I specifically want to thank Ashley Krompier and Krysten Hambrook who oversee what I do and post them on time even when I might have gone past the deadline.

If you have any tax, business or financial issues you want to discuss please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
