Withum Team Members Give Back to Their Communities for Withum Week of Caring

For over a decade, Withum team members have participated in volunteer work the week of Thanksgiving, getting involved in their communities and helping local organizations leading up to the holiday. After 2020’s successful remote giving eventfor One Simple Wish, team members participated in online and live events across the country for this year’s Withum Week of Caring.

Preparing meals for local pantries, organizing toy drives, recording storybook readings, and participating in local beach clean-ups are just some of the many activities hundreds of team members got involved with to impact their communities. Supporting over 50 organizations from coast to coast in 13 locations, team members volunteered over 1,300 hours to help each organization in their missions to better their communities. Additionally, by replicating a piece of last year’s successful remote giving event, Withum again partnered with One Simple Wishto grant a total of 15 wishes and raise over $1,000 for children in foster care.

“It’s been a tough 18 months and it’s been even tougher on the most vulnerable members of our communities. This year we are glad to give back in various ways to meet everyone’s comfort level while still supporting local organizations in the way we’ve been proud to do. Giving back is a tenant of our company culture, the Withum Way, and this annual event allows our team members to bond over volunteerism—something we’re so passionate about and much needed after so much time apart.”

Withum’s annual Withum Week of Caring is just one element of Withum’s philanthropic endeavors. Year-round, the Firm also presents corporate sponsorships and scholarships. Team members hold board and leadership positions at local nonprofit organizations and participate in firm-organized food, clothing and toy drives. A unique give-back opportunity that exists at Withum allows team members to donate the monetary amount of unused PTO to chosen nonprofits. Additionally, Withum’s team member resource groups, commonly known as employee resource groups, also participate in philanthropic events that impact their underrepresented populations.
