WithumSmith+Brown remains committed to growing its corporate leadership team, promoting three senior managers to partner level, effective July 1, 2015. This year’s advancing class includes: Michael M. Kulick, CPA, MBA; Nicole D. Lyons, CPA/CFF, CVA; and David J. Poillucci, CPA, MST.

Mike Kulick, CPA, MBA, Partner

Mike Kulick, CPA, MBA, PartnerMichael Kulick is a member of the firm’s Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics and Employee Benefits Services groups. He has over a decade of public accounting experience including auditing, financial statement preparation and analysis as well as business consulting with a focus on both private and publicly-held entities. Mike provides accounting and auditing services to clients in the manufacturing, distribution, ERISA, construction and retail industry sectors.

The key to Kulick’s success is due to his dedication.  “I aspire to be recognized as a partner that others can always rely on and will continually work to help clients surpass their business goals and reach a new level of success.”

Kulick graduated with his MBA degree, with a concentration in finance, from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, and received his BS degree in accounting from Providence College, Providence, RI.  He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Nicole Lyons, CPA/CFF, CVA, Partner

Nicole Lyons, CPA, CVA,Nicole Lyons is a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Valuation and Insolvency Services Group. With expertise in business valuation and forensic accounting, Nicole specializes in shareholder/partner disputes, matrimonial litigation and damage assessment engagements.  Nicole has also testified in Superior Court and in arbitration.

When asked what current and new clients can expect from her, Nicole stated, “Consistently putting forth 100% effort in every endeavor, regardless of the enormity of the matter.”

Lyons graduated from Villanova University, Villanova, PA, with a BS degree in accounting and a minor in Spanish. She is a member of the AICPA, NJCPA, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She is a frequent lecturer for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) and at various law firms on forensic accounting and business valuation.

David Poillucci, CPA, MST, Partner

David Poillucci has over 15 years of experience in public accounting specializing in tax planning and compliance for c-corporations, s-corporations and partnerships. He is an active member of the Firm’s Tax Services Group and concentrates his efforts on providing high value tax incentives to clients such as the research and development tax credits and U.S. export tax incentives. Additionally, David specializes in tax law research, tax audit representation and working with multistate middle market clients. Poillucci has industry expertise in manufacturing, financial services and restaurant/hospitality services.

When asked how he keeps up with the ever-changing tax law, David stated “The tax landscape is very complex and full of pitfalls. The key to successful navigation is serving as a role model and surrounding yourself with a talented team who are passionate about their work.”

Poillucci received his masters of science in taxation from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, and received his bachelor’s in accounting from Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI.
