Postage rates will drop on April 10 for letters from 49¢ to 47¢ and the added ounce will drop from 23¢ to 21¢. Meter rates also will drop 2¢ to 46.5¢. Do not buy any Forever stamps until April 10 when the price drops!
There are other decreases.
In 2014 the Postal Service was granted a 4.3% “temporary” rate increase that is now being rolled back. To my knowledge this is one of the very rare rate cuts since the Stamp Act was repealed on March 18, 1766.
