
J. Michael Ervin

Mike Ervin has over 30 years of experience in public accounting.
He specializes in audit and accounting work within the Firm’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) practice. Over the course of his career, Mike has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, public utility/energy, startup/development stage, not-for-profit, and general service. He has extensive experience with SEC regulatory and accounting matters, mergers and acquisitions, as well as forensic accounting engagements where fraud and embezzlement have occurred. He is familiar with businesses filing periodic reports under the 1934 Securities Exchange Act and has been involved with multiple transactions, assisting clients in gaining access to public markets through a variety of 1933 Securities Act filings and with the government. He also has experience working with SEC clients required to assess and report on internal controls over financial reporting.
In addition, Mike has experience with corporate and personal income tax and supporting the technical review and quality control team, which monitors the quality of the Firm’s attest services.
Mike is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
