Withum Team Members Volunteer in Biggest Week of Caring Yet

In its twelfth year, Withum’s 2022 Withum Week of Caring (WWoC) impacted the greatest number of organizations during the three days leading up to Thanksgiving since the inaugural event in 2011. Team members across the globe mobilized within their communities to volunteer at local nonprofits, helping further their missions through activities such as park clean-ups and food bank donations to toy drives, cooking and serving meals and supporting literacy projects, among others.

It makes me proud to be able to watch the growth of Withum Week of Caring over the last 12 years. Nothing is better than seeing teams in different regions adapt this philanthropic mission to best benefit their own communities. As we expand our office footprint in regions across the U.S. and internationally, we’re happy to bring our culture of volunteerism with us, creating positive impacts in the communities where our team members work and live.

Bill Hagaman
Managing Partner and CEO, Withum

Withum is proud to share that this year, team members volunteered over 3,500 hours, an all-time high following the Firm’s implementation of YourCause® CSRconnect® from Blackbaud, the world’s leading software company powering social good. CSRconnect streamlines the giving process for corporations by providing a central hub for team members to donate to vetted 501(c)(3) organizations, engage in volunteer events, search giving opportunities by location, log their volunteer hours and track board member participation.

We consistently strive for opportunities to position our great firm as an employer and service provider of choice. Through our intentional partnership with Blackbaud, we have revolutionized our Firm-wide volunteer and fundraising efforts with a centralized home, coined WithumCares, that enhances our culture of giving back and adds a layer of transparency and reporting. Building off our successes from WWoC, I am confident that our team– powered by purpose– will expand our reach in the communities where we live and work.

Bill Bradshaw
Director of Inclusion and Diversity, Withum and Employer of Choice Initiatives

This year, nearly 90 nonprofit organizations benefitted from the giving efforts of Withum team members during WWoC. The Week of Caring program now reaches nonprofits in over 16 states and Bengaluru, India, where Withum recently announced its new office for its existing 200 professionals. Hagaman implemented the WWoC during his 13-year tenure as CEO and Managing Partner to elevate a core tenet of the Withum Way —a set of values outlining Withum’s culture and mindset – Give Back. As Withum welcomes incoming CEO-elect Pat Walsh on January 1, 2023, expect the Firm’s values-driven, growth mindset to continue. Having swiftly expanded into new markets over the past decade under Hagaman’s direction, the firm expects to magnify its give-back culture as it grows by continuing to get involved and inspiring others within its communities to experience the joys of philanthropy.
