Withum offers three areas for prospective accountants to experience the profession and the Firm’s culture through high school engagement programs, Tour de Withum – a unique one-day leadership program, a traditional collegiate internship program and the CPA Pathways Apprenticeship – a first for mid-market firms, that started with Seton Hall University in 2023.
Tour de Withum offers college students interested in a career in public accounting an inside look at the Firm’s culture and operations. Participants spend a day meeting professionals from different departments and learning about Withum’s services and industries.
Withum’s internship program provides students with comprehensive hands-on experience aligned with the CPA curriculum. Through training and mentorship, interns can work alongside experienced professionals and develop technical skills. Upon completion, they are eligible for full-time entry-level positions. Interns also deeply connect with the Firm’s culture. During Withum’s National Intern Day and its annual Withum Week of Caring, students experience the power of giving back and what it means to live the core values of the Withum Way.
The Firm’s CPA Pathways Apprenticeship is an exclusive extension of the internship program. Offered to a select cohort of final-year accounting students, this innovative program aims to bridge the gap between academic coursework and the educational requirements needed for aspiring accountants. Students have a paid opportunity to enhance their future career prospects by gaining real-world experience in public accounting, participating in networking events, and engaging in collaborative projects while preparing to take the CPA exam.
