Tour de Withum Testimonials

I signed up to attend Tour de Withum in the summer, going into my senior year. I went to learn more about the public accounting world and see what a day in the life of an accountant was like. I quickly realized that this career was not what “classroom accounting” was like. I expected there to be cubicles everywhere with calculators and yellow pads and no spaces to hang out – just work. Yet, to my surprise, there were smiling faces and a different atmosphere than I pictured behind a textbook. I could tell the staff and employees enjoyed their jobs and I knew I had made the right career move, so I immediately began trying to network, which was easy and stress-free. I got my foot in the door when I got an email for the East Brunswick office scheduler, who I immediately emailed afterwards. I got an internship which turned into a full-time position – just by signing up to see the office! I wouldn’t want my career to be anything but the Withum Way, and I’m so thankful I was able to attend Tour de Withum, I’ve been here for six months now and my experience here has been incredible – and nothing like the classroom.”

I graduated from Delaware Valley University in May of 2018 and was working as an intern for a small public accounting firm in Doylestown, PA while studying for the CPA exam, but I wanted to find a place where I could get more diverse public accounting experience. My accounting professor, Liz Kolar, whose two sons work for Withum, got me in contact with her son Liam. Liam told me about Tour de Withum, so I signed up for it. I learned so much about the unique offerings of the Withum culture and during that day I knew I wanted to work for Withum. Shortly after, I applied for a spring tax internship and after the internship I began working full time in June of 2019. Tour de Withum was a great way to learn how Withum could help me build a prosperous professional accounting career.
