Welcome to the New Withum Partners
Nine staff have been promoted to partner on July 1. I am pleased to welcome them to our partnership group. They are all CPAs, members of their state societies and the AICPA, and active in professional and charitable organizations. They are also based in six of our offices.
Brad Caruso and Nina Chmura are in my New Brunswick office. I’ve worked with both of them their entire careers and have proudly seen them grow. Brad started as an intern and Nina joined us with under one year experience when she moved to NJ from Boston so they are both home grown. Brad is highly active in our Not-for-Profit and Education Services Group and also specializes in the professional services and technology industries. He is a data analytics software principal for our firm and is a licensed Certified Fraud Examiner. Nina has strong roles in our real estate, consumer products and not-for-profit service areas. She serves on the AICPA Women’s Initiative Executive Committee Task Force and is also an active member of numerous other organizations including serving on the New Jersey Food Council as Tax Policy and Trade Relations Committee Member.
Jarrod Rhen is based in our Princeton office and focuses on the technology and life sciences industries and advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters. Jarrod has authored numerous articles on a variety of topics and is often asked to speak and serve on panels covering a diverse array of industry topics and developments.
Phil Antico is based in our New York City office and services a diversified group of public and private clients including broker-dealers, private equity groups, hedge funds, SEC companies, manufacturing, distribution and other commercial businesses and performs employee benefit plan services. Philip is one of the authors of the 2013 – 2017 versions of “PPC’s Practice Aids for Audits of Noncarrying Broker-Dealers,” a Thompson Reuters product used by CPA Firms.
Pete Lubcker is based in our New York City office and provides services to a diversified group of clients in both the private and public sectors. Pete specializes in servicing alternative investment funds, broker-dealers and management companies. Pete’s experience with alternative investment funds, including fund of funds, encompasses fund managers with assets under management ranging from $5 million to $5 billion. He also has in-depth knowledge of the issues and requirements of the investment company industry. In addition to his client responsibilities, Pete has been actively involved in the development of best practices in the alternative investment industry.
Mark J. Deters is in our Whippany, NJ office and specializes in providing services related to security transactions, investment banking, complex equity transactions, stock-based compensation, initial public offerings (IPOs), business combinations and registration and reporting under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. He has expertise working with middle-market companies across a variety of industry sectors, including broker-dealers, SEC public registrants, emerging growth and technology companies, private equity and venture capital funds. Mark has been involved with numerous IPOs which raised in excess of $3 billion dollars. The majority of these IPOs were Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) sponsored by the investment community. Mark has in-depth knowledge of the SPAC industry and is a frequent speaker at SPAC related seminars, panels and workshops.
Donna Nevolo is in our Whippany, NJ office and serves large, publicly held multi-national companies. As a member of the Firm’s Financial Services and Employee Benefit and Pension Plans Services Groups, Donna has extensive experience with auditing broker-dealers, hedge funds and other commercial businesses as well as retirement plans. She also consults with clients on tax compliance and supervises the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns.
Adrienne Anderson is based in our West Palm Beach, FL office. She specializes in working with middle market public and private manufacturing, distribution, service and technology companies and government contractors. Adrienne also has a diverse knowledge relating to data analytics software and teaches courses on their use and best practices.
Ray Bastin is based in our Orlando, FL office. His extensive experience is in a wide range of industries with specialties in common interest realty associations, construction, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. He is heavily involved in professional, trade and local organizations including Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Central Florida’s Business Development Committee
They are an impressive group with a wide range of service specialties and I am proud to be their partner. Because of the varied geographic range, Withum will be holding New Partner Receptions in three different locations:

- Orlando – The Alfond Inn – October 5
