Tomorrow was Yesterday

The beginning of a year is a good time for reflection and resolution to be better. Here are some changes to consider:

  • Do not give due datesyou cannot keep. Promising something for “tomorrow” when it is highly unlikely it will get done is not responsible. Two days later, if not delivered, your customer or client would tell you that “tomorrow was yesterday.” Make your tomorrows less stressful by setting realistic due dates – and then keeping your promises
  • If you cannot meet a deadline, let the person know as soon as you know. Changing a deadline is accepted more easily three days beforehand than a half hour afterwards
  • If you assign something that has a deadline, check the progress often enough to make sure it is ontarget to meet the deadline. And, if not, you won’t be surprised at the last minute

If these suggestions apply to you, following through on them will make your life much better this year.

Only good things for you for the New Year!
