Nadia-Maria Matthie Honored with the 2025 Ronald Benjamin National Achievement in Public Accounting Award  

Withum is proud to announce that Nadia-Maria Matthie has been awarded the Ronald Benjamin National Achievement in Public Accounting Award at the 2025 National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Awards Gala.  

Nadia-Maria Matthie Withum

Nadia, an audit partner in Withum’s New York office, specializes in servicing single-employee benefit plans, multiemployer benefit plans and labor unions. This Award recognizes Nadia’s dedication to the advancement of the profession through her exceptional efforts, expertise and mentorship.  

AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel

In 2024, Nadia was appointed to the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel. On this team, she provides valuable insights to AICPA members on financial reporting, as well as audit and attest matters. She is passionate about progressing the next generation of accounting professionals. She serves as the fundraising chairperson for the Moynihan Scholarship Fund and chairperson of the PACE University Career Opportunities in Accounting Profession (COAP) program, both sponsored by NYSSCPA. Additionally, Nadia is an active member of NABA’s New York Chapter.  

BLAAC Team Member Resource Group

At Withum, Nadia is a member and former co-lead of Withum’s BLAAC Team Member Resource Group (TMRG), where she and other team members provide support, allyship and cultural awareness across the Firm. She has been a driving force in helping develop the TMRG framework to enhance the team member experience. Her focus also helped shape the strategy in which Withum deepens relationships and adds value to the profession, through various membership associations, such as NABA, program sponsorships and the advancement of opportunities for students looking to enter public accounting. 

National Association of Black Accountants

NABA is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to empowering Black professionals in accounting, finance and related business fields. The Robert Benjamin Award was created to honor Robert Benjamin, a co-founder and visionary leader of NABA. This Award is one of the most prestigious recognitions within the organization, celebrating individuals who make significant contributions to public accounting while embodying NABA’s values and mission.
