Healthcare Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:HCSG) announced that Kurt Simmons Jr., CPA, MBA, was appointed by the company’s Board of Directors to serve as a Board and Audit Committee member , effective November 1, 2021.
Mr. Simmons, an audit partner at Withum, a top-25 public accounting and advisory firm, brings over 17 years of experience in accounting and auditing to HCSG’s board and audit committee. With tenure at top-25 firms, including the Big 4, his expertise includes complex private placement offerings, derivatives, carve-outs, business combinations, SOX 404 audits under IFRS and U.S. GAAP, IPO readiness, and revenue recognition consulting services for privately-held companies and public filers. Mr. Simmons is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and a former member of the National Association for Black Accountants (NABA) and former board member for the New Jersey Technology Advisory Council
