Withum is proud to announce that its partner, Jim Hannan, CPA, has been awarded membership in the “MADE in NJ Honor Roll” by the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) at its 2025 Manufacturing Day event in October 2025.
Based in our Whippany, NJ office, Jim is a long-time Partner and served as our inaugural Manufacturing, Distribution and Logistics Practice Leader for fifteen years. He has supported the manufacturing industry and Withum’s most visible clients, serving as a trusted business advisor. He has nearly four decades of experience serving multi-national private and publicly held manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, supply chain and pharmaceutical companies.
Jim’s depth of experience and visionary mindset have helped shape the Firm’s newly formed Industrial and Consumer Products (ICP) Industry Services Team. He established and developed the discipline from its inception and through his foundational leadership, led triple-digit revenue growth in the manufacturing sector. His expertise extends beyond his impact in the Garden State, as he represents Withum in HLB’s North American Manufacturing Industry Group.
In reflection, Hannan shared:
I am very humbled to receive membership in NJMEP’s Honor Roll, joining other notables and stewards who have done so much to advance the industry into the powerhouse it is today, a pillar of our local and national economies. My relationship with NJMEP and its stakeholders has been a wonderful experience over the years – I have received so much more from this partnership than I could ever contribute. I am also blessed to lead a talented group of colleagues at Withum, whose dedication to client service is second to none, and I share this award with them. I thank all our clients and their people who have supported our Firm since its inception in 1974. We value these relationships and are proud of their successes.

Beyond his significant contributions to the industry, Jim leads by example with his strong commitment to community engagement. He serves on the Boards of Immaculata High School and the Somerset County Business Partnership, as well as Chairman emeritus of Saint Peter’s Hospital Foundation. He is the Firm’s representative to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), a member of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association’s (NJBIA) Manufacturing Council and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC).
Jim added:
I suspect that my involvement in the supply chain industry was somewhat pre-ordained through my genealogy: my two grandfathers worked at the Philadelphia Sugar Plant and the Louisville and Nashville Railroad back in their day. After service in the Navy during World War II, my father sailed the seven seas with the Merchant Marines. I am quite confident there were no supply chain issues on their watch!

The award ceremony honors the innovation, grit, perseverance and economic strength of the manufacturing sector in New Jersey. NJMEP honored Jim, along with his fellow honor roll award recipients, at its annual event on October 3, 2025.
