Bill Hagaman Establishes First-Generation Student Endowed Scholarship at Stockton University

Withum’s Bill Hagaman, Managing Partner and CEO, became the first graduate to receive the Outstanding Alumni Award from Stockton University School of Business for his endowment of the University’s First-Generation Student Endowed Scholarship.

The scholarship pays homage to Hagaman’s experience at Stockton, which he attributes to launching his successful career leading a top-25 public accounting and advisory firm. Hagaman shared that a university professor, Charles Yeager, gifted him $2,000 for the second semester of his freshman year so he could continue his accounting education at Stockton.

When I was here, I was a first-generation college student. I was the oldest of six. My family had no money. We were on food stamps. But I was determined to go to college. My hope is to help another young person in similar circumstances.
