Robert Traester has over 10 years of experience in accounting, focusing on tax and accounting advice for businesses and individuals.

He works closely with a diverse range of clients, from small one-person startups to large multi-jurisdictional international companies and collaborates with them at all stages of the business life cycle.  

Robert has extensive experience in stock-based compensation, multi-state and international tax planning and compliance and handling IRS and state tax examinations. Committed to providing proactive, personalized and long-term-focused advice, Robert ensures that his clients are empowered with the latest information, considering both short-term and long-term considerations.  

As the tax leader in the Boston office, Robert leads the local team in proactively addressing changes in federal and local tax laws. He is a licensed certified public accountant in Massachusetts and holds a Master’s in Taxation.

Robert is a mentee through the MSCPA, where he provides guidance to current accounting students who are exploring a career as future CPAs. He formerly served as a member of the Firm’s Fellowship Program, which offers internal training for team members.  

Robert lives in Boston and is an avid sports fan and traveler. In his spare time, he enjoys attending concerts or checking out the latest restaurant openings.
