Michael Lyons has nearly 15 years of experience in public accounting, with a specialty in taxation. Michael focuses on serving family-owned businesses and flow-through entities in the agri-business and manufacturing industries. He also has significant experience working with equipment rentals and sales, construction contractors and clients in the trucking industry. Michael specializes in helping businesses maximize New York State tax credits and incentives, including investment tax credits, farm employer overtime credit, farm workforce retention credit, manufacturers’ real property tax credit, and farmers’ school tax credit. He also has extensive experience working with clients on LLC redemptions and retiring partner calculations.
Michael strives to be a trusted advisor for his clients. In his eyes, they are always top of mind, and he’s with them every step of the way. Whether navigating complex tax matters or planning for the future, his clients can feel confident knowing he’s fully invested in their success.
Buffalo Business First recognized Michael for his dedication to the profession and business community as a past 30 Under 30 award recipient. He is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York and has a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA).
