John A. Cacchiotti, Jr. (Jack) is a Partner in the Firm’s Forensic and Valuations Services Team. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 35 years of accounting plus business experience. He is one of the few CPAs who have earned both the Accredited in Business Valuation designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation by the American Society of Appraisers.

Jack is experienced in Business Valuation for estate planning and gifting, divorce litigation, C Corporation to S Corporation conversions, mergers and acquisitions, bank financing, buy-sell agreements, shareholder disputes, and purchase price allocations.

Jack has been qualified as an expert witness and has testified in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts Superior and Family Courts. He has also been appointed Special Master by the court to assist in settlement of cases before the court. Jack is a frequent lecturer at seminars sponsored by the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs, and was an instructor for Conflict Resolution Training, Inc. a mediation training firm. In addition, he co-authored the chapter entitled “Deposing Accountants and Economists” in A Practical Guide to Discovery & Depositions in Rhode Island, published by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
