Fatema is a partner with more than 14 years of public accounting experience providing assurance services to various clients in the public and private sectors.
She advises clients on audit processes, internal control assessments and implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures. Fatema specializes in Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds, Lending Companies and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. She has experience with alternative investments including funds with assets under management ranging from $1 million to $1 billion and includes a wide range of financial products including public and privately-held stock, derivatives, debt instruments and private investment companies.
Fatema has in-depth knowledge and experience related to registration and reporting under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, interpretation and implementation of regulations governing filing requirements, researching and resolving SEC issues through communications with the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance and navigating the evolving issues and requirements of the public reporting landscape. She is involved in Withum’s training and development programs for various levels of professional staff.
