Barb Danner has over 25 years of public accounting experience. She is focused on serving clients in the employee benefit plan, not-for-profit, and real estate practice areas. She has comprehensive knowledge in audits of employee benefit plans, including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, health and welfare plans and 11-K filings. Barb’s is also familiar with compliance testing of plan documents, IRS and DOL regulations, and examination of plan operations, including recommendations for improvement. She has assisted clients in ERISA and IRS reviews and has consulted on employee benefit plan administration issues, including plan mergers, plan terminations, and corrective implementation for employee benefit plans.
Barb is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York and is actively engaged with the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.
Barb is an advocate for team member professional development and engagement. She is actively involved in Firm initiatives that promote a healthy work-life integration and opportunities for mentorship and networking to help team members grow personally and professionally.

A true advocate of paying it forward, Barb serves as the Treasurer of the Ralph Wilsom Park Conservancy and a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Barb also holds various leadership roles at other nonprofits in the Buffalo area as the Board Member and Treasurer at Buffalo Place, Inc. and Board Member of the Buffalo Place Foundation. She is also a Board Member and Past President and Treasurer at Hope Chest Buffalo. Because of these efforts, Barb has been recognized for her commitment to the community and the profession as a prior 40 Under 40 award recipient. She is also a Leadership Buffalo graduate.
