John Smith is a partner in the Healthcare Services Team with nearly 20 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to healthcare and tax-exempt organizations, including integrated delivery systems, hospitals, academic medical centers, physician groups and foundations.
He advises clients on complex tax and regulatory matters, helping them navigate evolving requirements, ensure accurate reporting and implement strategies that support compliance and financial sustainability. His areas of expertise include Form 990 planning, governance, executive compensation and employee benefits, community benefits, tax-exempt bonds, joint ventures, IRS ruling requests and unclaimed property.
