Chris Hatten is the partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Houston office, offering nearly 25 years of public accounting experience.
He serves clients across various industries, including energy and oilfield, manufacturing and distribution, technology and hospitality services. With a strong background in audit and financial consulting for both public and private companies as a licensed CPA and a certified valuation analyst, Chris takes a genuine interest in understanding his clients’ businesses, history and future plans.
As a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor® (CM&AA), Chris’ areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, quality of earnings assessments, transaction modeling and SEC reporting. He is involved in SSAE18 engagements and provides comprehensive services to clients with international operations. By providing tailored services for energy, IFRS, transaction advisory deals and employee benefit plans, he delivers strategic financial solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

Chris is passionate about his career as an accountant. He is the official accountant of the Rice Business Plan Competition and a Board Member at the Turnaround Management Association outside of his time in the office.
Chris is a United States Marine veteran who enjoys reading, working out and watching his kids play sports in his spare time.
