Introducing Windows 365: New Way to Deliver a Secure Hybrid Workplace

Every year Microsoft holds a conference for their partners, like Withum, where we get the opportunity to learn about new capabilities across the Microsoft Cloud and share the news with our audiences. This year’s Inspire introduced a new way for organizations to deliver secure hybrid workplaces. Check out our recap as we get to know Windows 365.

What is Windows 365?

At Withum we have been assisting clients with remote work scenarios for many years. We move companies to the cloud, set up collaboration solutions, enable team members to hold productive and efficient hybrid meetings, and remove on-premises dependencies like VPN. Windows 365 is the next evolution.

Built with the principles of Zero Trust, Windows 365 is a complete Software-as-a-Service cloud solution which securely streams Windows 10 (and Windows 11 once it’s available later this year) to any device, letting users to log in and pick up where they left off. Windows 365 takes the operating system to the cloud, allowing you to stream apps, data and settings while storing information in the cloud, not on the device.

This is an exciting innovation for the growing hybrid workplace, especially if you are looking for a personalized Windows experience. The capabilities of Windows 365 will provide your team members with flexibility and efficiency, while also making it easier for your IT team to handle deployment, updates and management – there’s no VDI required.

With the addition of Windows 365 and the existing flexible cloud VDI platform, Azure Virtual Desktop, there are now two ways for you to provide a seamless and secure hybrid workplace experience to your organization. Windows 365 will officially be available August 2, 2021. Check out Microsoft’s press release to learn more.
