Withum is proud to share that Business in New Jersey – Everyday has named Marcus Dyer to their Best Black Business Leaders list for 2026.

Marcus Dyer, Principal, was recognized for his industry expertise and contributions to the profession. As a highly accomplished CPA, Marcus has nearly two decades of experience providing tax and business advisory services. As one of the leaders of the Firm’s Tax Controversy practice, he has extensive experience helping clients resolve federal, state and local tax controversies, including civil tax examinations, appeals and collections matters.

Marcus draws on his law background to represent clients in commercial and tax disputes before state courts, Federal District Court and the United States Tax Court, frequently resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution rather than litigation.

As an industry thought leader, Marcus contributes to a wide range of publications, helping businesses and individuals navigate high-risk tax issues, IRS enforcement trends and dispute-resolution strategies. His insights, complemented with legal and accounting perspectives, deliver practical, compliance-focused guidance for managing risk and resolving complex federal and state tax challenges.

Marcus has helped drive growth in the Firm’s tax practice and made an impact across New Jersey, earning recognition as a respected advisor within state commerce, government and among community stakeholders.
