Sonia Freeman brings 40 years of public accounting experience to her clients as a licensed CPA. She serves businesses various industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, energy services, wholesale and retail distribution, agribusiness and not-for- profits. Sonia also provides audit, review and advisory services to private equity-backed and privately held businesses. She specializes in working with international businesses that are headquartered in Houston with operations throughout the world, as well as foreign-owned companies with U.S. operations.

Sonia’s client services philosophy centers on being available and responsive. She maintains consistent touchpoints and ongoing conversations with clients to work through challenges, believing that accessibility and communication are essential to building strong professional relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Sonia is an advocate for women in business. She is a former President and Treasurer for the Women’s Finance Exchange, the Executive Women’s Partnership Chair for the Greater Houston Partnership and currently serves on the Board of Directors as Chair of Finance Committee and Treasurer of the YWCA Houston. She is part of several interest groups for the Leading Edge Alliance, including Audit and Assurance, COOs and Firm Operations, Managing Partners and Women’s Leadership.

Sonia’s contributions to the profession have led to accolades such as Houston Business Journal’s “Women Who Means Business” award and her recognition as “CPA All-Star” from CPA Magazine. 

Sonia is a sought-after speaker at industry conventions and contributes to industry publications such as Accounting Today and the Journal of Accountancy.
