Nicole Liebman serves as Withum’s General Counsel. In her role, she advises on numerous legal, professional, and corporate matters. She has extensive experience representing accounting firms, and related professionals, including business managers and consultants, in a full range of their legal matters. She represented accounting clients in litigation of malpractice claims, investigation of ethics violations, disputes over restrictive covenants, litigation of securities fraud claims, class action litigation, and responses to subpoenas from the Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory bodies.

During her time as a litigator, Nicole also provided advice and representation in connection with risk management, government investigations, commercial negotiations, and partnership and practice issues. In addition, she represented businesses – such as media relations firms, telecommunications companies, and banking institutions—in a wide array of commercial disputes. Her practice also encompassed matters under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

Nicole has worked on partnership disputes and separations, handled regulatory, licensing and ethics proceedings, and drafted manuals and policies for accounting firms, business managers, and other professionals. She also has experience handling general commercial disputes which have included matters involving breach of contract and fraud, regulatory review, tax disputes, workers’ compensation issues, and post-employment disputes.
