Ian Johnston has 15 years of experience in public accounting.
He focuses on providing accounting and auditing services to private and publicly traded companies in various industries, including manufacturing and distribution, waste management and general service industries. He also has experience working with companies in the pre-IPO stage and has transaction advisory services experience. He is seen as a technical resource at the Firm on complex accounting matters and the adoption of new accounting standards.
Clients see Ian as a trusted advisor, not just a service provider. He takes the time to build relationships and work with them to achieve the growth and success they desire.
Ian is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York and has a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA).
Embracing a tech-forward approach to business, Ian is a Firm technology champion, supporting the rollout, training and adoption of various firm software and tools.

Outside of the office, Ian enjoys spending time with friends and family, a majority of which is spent coaching and attending his two sons’ sporting events. He also makes time for nature hikes and exploring new places, gardening and home projects.
