Brian Baumler has over 37 years of experience in accounting. He works with clients in energy and oilfield services and the SEC sector. As a licensed CPA, Brian specializes in providing comprehensive SEC reporting services to SEC registrants seeking public offerings and reporting for merger and acquisition transactions. His industry expertise covers domestic and international energy businesses with emphasis on exploration and production, oilfield services, transportation, seismic acquisition, drilling, refining and marketing. Brian also serves clients reporting under IFRS and has gained hands-on understanding of transactional complexities related to mergers and acquisitions, private placements and public offerings, allowing him to better understand the fundamentals of his client’s businesses.

Brian’s involvement in the accounting industry goes beyond his day-to-day occupation, he is also the Senior Vice President of Joint Venture Strategic Advisors (JVSA). His seasoned oil and gas experience allows him to lead the JVSA team in providing joint venture services to clients. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) and is also a Member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Chapter of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a former Chair of the Energy Committee and past Chair of the Energy Conference. Brian’s work in the industry has earned him numerous honors within the Houston CPA Society and the Houston Business Journal, and he has been published in Hart Energy.
