Ben Katz has 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on taxation and international tax. As an active member of his firm’s international tax group, Ben works with individuals and businesses to navigate U.S. tax compliance, optimize cross-border structures, and meet the growing demands of international tax reporting. Ben’s expertise includes inbound and outbound structuring, treaty planning, and compliance with a wide range of international disclosure requirements.  

In addition to his international work, Ben also has experience in state and local tax (SALT), working with clients to identify multistate exposure, perform nexus reviews, and advise on apportionment and state conformity issues.  Additionally, he regularly advises flow-through entities and their owners, helping to coordinate entity-level and individual tax filings in a way that maximizes efficiency and minimizes risk. Ben’s clients include high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and multinational entities.  

Ben is committed to helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of international taxation by simplifying cross-border reporting and compliance. He is known for his ability to simplify complex tax issues, deliver tailored advice and ensure that compliance efforts align with each client’s broader financial goals. 

Ben is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York and has a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA).

Outside of work, Ben loves spending time with his wife, daughter and son. He and his family are dog lovers and have two Boxers. A fun fact about Ben: He is married to his high school sweetheart, who is also a tax accountant—they met in their high school accounting class. Ben is also a member of the Brookfield Country Club and an avid golfer.
