Buffalo Business First Names Michelle Sullivan to 2026 Power 200 Women List

Withum is proud to congratulate Michelle Sullivan on being named to Buffalo Business First’s 2026 Power 200 Women list. The annual feature recognizes the Buffalo region’s most influential women across business, nonprofit and community leadership. This marks Michelle’s third consecutive year on the list, reflecting her ongoing contributions to the accounting profession and the Western New York community.

Leadership in Audit and Advisory

As an audit partner with more than 30 years of experience, Michelle serves clients in the not-for-profit, employee benefit plan and real estate sectors. Her nonprofit expertise spans health and welfare organizations, higher education and cultural institutions and public foundations with significant investment and endowment assets.

Michelle works closely with executive teams and boards to align financial reporting and operational strategies with organizational goals. She helps clients navigate complex regulatory compliance requirements, investment valuation matters and risk management challenges.

A respected leader and mentor, Michelle, has championed professional growth throughout her career by leading team member development initiatives, guiding mentorship programs and supporting emerging professionals through community networking. She has also served in executive leadership and trustee committee roles, helping shape Firm organizational strategies and talent development.

Committed to Community and Women’s Leadership

In addition to her professional achievements, Michelle is actively involved in organizations dedicated to strengthening the Western New York community and developing future leaders. She currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Buffalo Zoo and as a member of the Buffalo Zoo Foundation board. She is also involved with the Western New York Women’s Foundation and serves as a 43North Foundation Ambassador.

A longtime advocate for women in leadership, Michelle previously served on the AICPA Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, helping create opportunities for the next generation of women professionals.
