With over 30 years of experience, Tim Ross leads the Commercial Services Practice of the DC Metro office. He serves clients in several business segments and industries in both the private and public sectors and has provided entity and corporate tax services to both publicly traded and closely held companies with operations in multiple international and domestic locations.  

Tim’s technical experience includes business entity taxation, tax accounting, commercial transactions and structure, private equity, and domestic and global taxation. He routinely advises clients on a wide variety of high-level tax and business issues, including complex corporate tax planning and structuring, tax accounting, R&D tax credits, mergers and acquisitions and corporate international tax. 

Tim served in military as a U.S. Marine and veteran of the First Gulf War.

Give Back

Tim is active in the M&A business community. He is a member of the National Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and helps lead membership activities as a Director of the Board’s Membership Committee. He is also a Director of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors DC/MD/VA Chapter and a member of The Economic Club of Washington DC. 

Tim’s philanthropic activity includes supporting Friends of Guesthouse, a nonprofit focused on assisting formerly incarcerated women to reenter the Northern Virginia community, and sits on the Board of Directors as the organization’s Treasurer.  

Work Hard/Play Hard

Not only does Tim enjoy learning new music and playing the guitar, but he also collects guitars. He likes to read in his spare time, specifically military and general history. He also enjoys personal fitness and working out.
