Jeff Lea has over 15 years of public accounting experience, focusing on providing income tax services to operating businesses, including privately-held, private-equity backed and publicly traded companies. He has worked with startups to multi-national corporations on various tax needs, such as ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, income tax compliance, state and local taxes (SALT), executive compensation, and partnership tax issues. Jeff is also familiar with tax reporting standards under IFRS and US GAAP, including SEC filings for Form 10-K/Q and S-1 for IPOs.
Jeff brings a Big Four firm background to the middle market space, having helped businesses in a variety of industries, such as technology and emerging growth, retail, energy, construction and manufacturing, in addition to companies in highly-regulated spaces, such as cannabis and banking. Whether a company is looking for tax due diligence, tax guidance when navigating bankruptcy, restructuring or M&A activity, Jeff is seen by his clients as a trusted resource in offering tax strategies that align with business goals.
Jeff is a licensed certified public accountant in California and holds an MS in statistics and computational finance. He is actively pursuing an MLS in international taxation.
