Hard to believe. He looks like he did 20 years ago. Actually, then he looked bad (hee hee); today at age 87, he looks great! Just to show you what 20 years and some perspective could do.

Willie Nelson was interviewed a few weeks ago on Willie Geist’s NBC Sunday morning show. He was asked, looking back, if he would do anything different. He thought for a moment and said he wouldn’t want anything changed. He said he is happy where he is right now and if he changed anything, then other things would likely change and he might not be where he is today. I think that’s a fantastic and insightful answer.

We all do things we wish we haven’t, and things we regretted and some things we might like to take back, but we cannot; and any changes, as he said, would likely cause other changes. We can feel bad about some things, or embarrassed or even foolish, but we did them and need to live with the consequences and try to move on and forward.

We are human and make mistakes. We cannot let what we did wrong or with bad intentions define the rest of our lives. Use them as lessons to better live the rest of your life.

Comment: I know that some people might like to take back something, whatever the consequences, and who feel they would be better off today, so this message is not for them.
