Thursday I am presenting a webinar for the East Brunswick Public Library titled Money $ecrets of the Rich and Famous…and what you can learn from them. It is free and I guarantee you will enjoy it and will learn about some “insider” financial planning tips.
The financial affairs of many well-known celebrities, politicians, performers and the super-rich will be described along with tips on how you can adopt some of these techniques or how you can avoid some harmful actions. Included will be techniques to maintain privacy, by-pass probate, give cash generously to charities without writing a check or reducing your bank balance, invest with minimal risk, and avoid being swindled. I will also tell tales of inheritances, famous family fights over bequests and legacies, and some maneuvers that landed people in jail or in bankruptcy. I will also cover the very recent Michael Jackson Tax Court case and the fighting over Britney Spears’ conservatorship and what Bill Gates’ divorce means for his billion dollar charitable foundation, as well as the tax affairs of Presidents Nixon, Obama and Trump and Vice Presidents Nelson Rockefeller and Al Gore, and Mitt Romney, Babe Ruth, David Rockefeller and the cow investments that John Lennon, Harrison Ford and I made. The program promises to be a real eye-opener as well as an informative and educational look into the investing habits, financial management and tax loopholes enjoyed by those bold enough to reach out for them.
