Withum Expands Cyber-Intelligence Advisory Services, Enhances Forensics & Valuation Practice Area

Withum has announced the expansion of its Cyber-Intelligence Advisory Services to include a dedicated team of information security and risk professionals fluent in a wide range of global technology-based and critical infrastructure services. Among Withum’s newest areas of specialization are Cybersecurity, Incidence Response and CFI/e-Discovery®, both of which will add to the depth and breadth of the firm’s forensics offerings.

The cyber team is led by Matthew Ferrante, a former top Electronic Crimes Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service, joining Withum as a Partner. Past experience includes providing a wide range of global technology-based and critical infrastructure services. These include but are not limited to designing and deploying security frameworks and systems, cyber intelligence, risk and threat assessments, incident response, computer, mobile, and network forensics, e-discovery and high-tech investigations support, as well as systems control monitoring, applications, and tools development.

His client base includes SMB to global enterprise-class businesses and governments. In addition, Ferrante and his team have been involved in several widely publicized data breaches involving Target, Neiman Marcus, Sony PlayStation Networks, Operation Firewall, and Operation ‘Get Rich or Die Trying.’

The speed at which today’s digital landscape is evolving and the level of sophistication being employed by cybercriminals have created an environment in which Matthew’s services will be required by every business, regardless of size or industry, at some point in its life cycle. We are excited to welcome Matthew and his entire team to the firm and look forward to seamlessly onboarding their world-class cybersecurity and incident response capabilities.

Ferrante said, “Withum has a long-standing reputation as the nation’s most forward-thinking, innovative advisory and accounting firm and we are pleased to come on board. Collectively, we will better be able to reach new markets and expand upon our services and capabilities to continue delivering what our clients need and have come to expect each and every day because IT has no regular business hours.”

The group is also a strategic value-add for Withum’s highly regarded Forensics and Valuation Services team, which assists clients with litigation consulting services, forensic and fraud services, matrimonial matters, bankruptcy and business valuation services.

The addition of this specialized team providing CFI and e-Discovery services is very exciting, further enhancing our existing Forensics and Valuation Services. They are an integral part of Withum’s long-term strategy to fuel our future organic growth.
