Promotion for Office 365 and Microsoft 365 Business Licenses

by Rick Manto, Technology and Digital Transformation

If you’re considering migrating to Office 365 or Microsoft 365 for the first time, or you’re an existing Office 365 user looking to upgrade, there’s no better time to act than right now. For a limited time, Microsoft is offering small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with less than 300 employees a 15% discount on new and upgraded 365 Business licenses for the first year — with the offer expiring May 31, 2019.

New customers can purchase either Office 365 Business Premium or Microsoft 365 Business.  Existing customers must upgrade to Microsoft 365 Business.

The Benefits of Microsoft Office 365 Business Plans

There are many benefits to moving to Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium or Microsoft 365 Business. The only limitation with this license is the number of users, which is capped at 300. However, you can only take advantage of the 15% off offer by purchasing a license through a certified Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) — it’s not available when purchasing direct.

What Does the Office 365 Business Premium Plan Include?

Microsoft’s Business plans are robust and tout a ton of features. Each license includes:

  • 50 GB of Business class email storage
  • Access to the desktop, mobile, and online versions of Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Access to the desktop versions of Access and Publisher
  • Install on up to 5 phones, tablets, or PCs

Some of the other benefits and services included with Office 365 Business Premium are:

  • Calendaring
  • File storage & sharing
  • Teamwork & communication capabilities like Microsoft Teams
  • Application integration
  • Custom security & compliance features like security groups
  • Basic productivity tools like Microsoft Bookings & Invoicing

Microsoft 365 Business Plans

Microsoft 365 Business combines the power of Office 365, with Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) and Windows Professional to provide additional tools to keep your business safe.  So, if advanced device management and security features like — archiving, remote wipe, advanced threat protections, configure auto updates, and Exchange online — are features that would benefit your organization, we recommend you consider Microsoft 365 Business, over Office 365 Business Premium. Plus, you get access to Windows 10, which is the most secure version of Windows available.
