Michelle Sullivan has nearly 30 years of experience in public accounting. She specializes in not-for-profits, employee benefit plans and real estate. Her expertise and specialization with nonprofits includes a diverse segment of organizations, such as health and welfare organizations, higher education institutions and public foundations with large investment and endowment pools.
In addition, she is also heavily involved with the Firm’s employee benefit plan practice. She is active with the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center and the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center to help ensure internal controls support compliance.
Michelle has also provided support and consulting services related to her clients’ various operational and strategic initiatives. She has spoken nationally on an expert panel for alternative investments and other hard-to-value investments and provided expert witness testimony regarding ERISA litigation. She is also a past member of the AICPA’s Women’s Initiative Executive Committee.
Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge behind her professional accounting expertise. She was a leader of a large regional firm’s staff mentorship and development program. She also served on its leadership team as an Executive and Trustee Committee member.
Michelle is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in New York.

Michelle is active in her community, serving as a Finance Committee Member for The Buffalo Club. She has also held various leadership roles with other organizations, such as: Women in Leadership Committee Member, Western New York Women’s Foundation; Board of Trustees, Hilbert College; Board of Directors, Buffalo Zoo Foundation; and the Board of Directors, Buffalo Zoological Gardens; Subcommittee-Cultural Organizations Board Member- Diversity Equity Access Inclusion and Justice Collaboration.
