Uniform Guidance Procurement Standards for Not-for-Profits

Uniform Guidance Procurement Standards for Not-for-Profits

2018 marks the start of the newest set of Uniform Guidance Procurement Standards – one of the biggest regulatory changes in years. Courtney Winters, CPA and Gianna Figurelli touch on the changes that not-for-profit organizations need to be aware of heading into 2018.

These uniform guidance procurementstandards apply to the first full fiscal year that begins on or after December 26, 2017. They apply to goods and services charged to all federal and state awards that have adopted Uniform Guidance.

All nonfederal entities must have documented procurement procedures, including when the organization elected to implement these standards. If organizations have multiple funding sources, it is critical that they documented how they will be in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, standards and regulations.

If your organization has yet to establish procedures or needs assistance in implementation, our group of experts here at Withum are happy to help! For questions or assistance, contact a member of Withum’s Not-for-Profit Services Group or fill out the form below and we’ll reach out to you.
