Leonard H. Smith - CPA, Partner

Len is one of the founding partners of WithumSmith+Brown, PC. A licensed certified public accountant in the states of New Jersey and Florida, he has over 40 years of experience in the fields of public accounting and consulting and is based in our Princeton, NJ, office. Len’s experience includes servicing companies and organizations in the professional services and wholesale/distribution industries.  He has particular expertise in the areas of tax planning with the common problems facing family-owned businesses. 
 
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in accounting, Len was an accountant for Haskins & Sells, the predecessor of Deloitte & Touche. He then joined a small CPA firm in Milltown, NJ, which eventually became WS+B.
 
Len is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where he is also a member of the AICPA Major Firms Group.  Len currently serves on the Board of Directors of several private and civic organizations. He is past treasurer and past chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Princeton Area. He serves on the audit committee for Learning Ally and is treasurer and former chairman of the Princeton Family YMCA-YWCA Board of Trustees. Len resides in Somerset County, NJ.
