Michael is based in our firm’s New Brunswick, NJ, office and has over 35 years of public accounting experience. He is a licensed certified public accountant in the states of New Jersey and New York and specializes in taxation.
A graduate of Brooklyn College, where he earned his BS degree in accounting, Michael also received his juris doctor from Rutgers School of Law in Newark and his master of law degree in taxation from New York University School of Law. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Prior to joining WS+B, he was a partner with M.D. Oppenheim & Company, P.C. (merged with WS+B in 2007). Additionally, he taught as an adjunct professor of business law and accounting at Rutgers University.
Michael was the first president of the International Association of Practicing Accountants and is currently an active member of its Americas Group. He resides in Middlesex County, New Jersey.
