Robert E. Demmett - CPA, MS, Partner

Bob is a partner in our New York office and has over 30 years of professional accounting experience. He is a certified public accountant in New York. Bob specializes in tax and financial planning for high-net-worth individuals as well as handling tax and compliance issues for partnerships, corporations and other entities. In addition, Bob helps clients with business structure issues, as well as acquisitions and dispositions of businesses and FIN 48 compliance.

Bob received his BBA degree in accounting from Pace University and earned his MS in taxation from Baruch College of the City University of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has served as chairman of the Corporate Distributions, Liquidations and Reorganizations Committee with the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Prior to joining WS+B, Bob was a partner with EisnerLubin llp (merged with WS+B in 2011).

In recognition of Bob’s service to clients, he was honored by The New York Enterprise Report as one of the recipients of its inaugural “Best Accountants and Attorneys for Growing Businesses Awards” in June 2010. In addition, he lectures for the Foundation of Accounting Education and was an adjunct professor at Queens College Graduate School of the City University of New York. Bob resides in Nassau County, NY.
