Anthony J. Nitti - CPA, MST, Partner
Anthony J. Nitti, CPA, MST is a tax partner in the Aspen, Colorado office of Withum Smith & Brown, PC. He is a certified public accountant in the states of New Jersey and Colorado with over fifteen years of tax experience, including working in the tax departments of Arthur Andersen LLP and Price Waterhouse LLP. Tony's practice focuses primarily on corporate and partnership tax planning, with a special focus on the consolidated return regulations and the reorganization provisions. Tony has authored over a dozen feature articles including “S Corporation Reasonable Compensation: How Much is Enough?” “Determining the Taxability of S Corporation Distributions, Parts I and II, and “Identifying Reverse Acquisitions and the Resulting Tax Consequences.” Tony also co-authored the CCH Expert Tax Treatise “Corporations Filing Consolidated Returns” and “Qualified Subchapter S Subsidiaries” for RIA Checkpoint Catalyst.

tax website, Tony has become a respected voice in the tax community. His opinions and commentary on important tax issues have been quoted in many news outlets, from CNN to Bloomberg. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA), and was twice named to the CPA Practice Advisor’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Tony earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The College of New Jersey and a master’s in taxation from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program.
