Ed Mendlowitz Business Succession Planning Book Published by AICPA
Edward Mendlowitz, CPA,/ABV/PFS, WS+B partner, recently authored a book entitled, “The Adviser’s Guide to Family Business Succession Planning.” The book has been published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The guidebook offers advice to practitioners on how to better serve their clients with issues related to succession planning, and to business owners looking to pass on their business to the next generation. Topics discussed include lifetime planning, identifying succession candidates, valuing the business and structuring a deal. It also offers several sample succession plans.

A Firm Gone Viral
On a Friday morning in early December, some 150 accountants and staff boarded a Manhattan-bound R train. It's doubtful any of their fellow commuters guessed they were all from the CPA firm of WithumSmith+Brown. That is, until the dancing started.
