M.D. Oppenheim & Company, P.C. Mergers with WS+B
Certified public accounting firm M.D. Oppenheim & Company, P.C. (MDO) recently merged its Iselin and Cherry Hill, NJ, and Philadelphia, PA, offices with the regional firm of WithumSmith+Brown (WS+B), Certified Public Accountants and Consultants. Effective May 1, 2007, the union has added to WS+B approximately 50 professional and support staff and new office locations to serve the Greater Philadelphia Area business, not-for-profit and government communities.
“We are confident this merger will create exciting opportunities for the staff of both firms,” said Ivan Brown, managing partner of WS+B. “Our new colleagues pride themselves on providing clients with quality and personalized attention on a timely basis – the same commitment to excellence always embraced by WithumSmith+Brown.”
“After careful consideration, the decision to join WS+B was based on the belief that the union would prove beneficial to all parties involved – especially our clients,” said Richard Cohen, CPA, former managing partner of M.D. Oppenheim & Company. “Assimilating into a well-respected regional firm with eight offices including an additional international affiliation allows our clients access to considerably more resources, receiving the same superior quality services they have come to expect and more.”
The former MDO Iselin staff will remain temporarily in their existing office at 485 U.S. Highway One. In the coming months, they will join WS+B’s New Brunswick staff at a brand new location currently under construction. MDO’s offices in Cherry Hill and Center City Philadelphia will continue as new additional WS+B offices.

A Firm Gone Viral
