WithumSmith+Brown, PC, was honored at Philadelphia Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Summit on April 26, 2012, ranking #1 in the category of Top Volunteer Donor – Medium Size Businesses. The award recognizes the firm for the number of volunteer hours the staff devoted to the not-for-profit community in the Greater Philadelphia area. Richard Cohen, partner-in-charge of WS+B’s Philadelphia office, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
The Philadelphia Business Journal recognized the top Philadelphia-area businesses which made substantial donations to community organizations through cash contributions, in-kind contributions and volunteer hours. The 81 corporate donors who were recognized collectively represent $62,978,130 cash donations, $116,720,029 of in-kind donations, and 287,611hours of volunteer service.
"WithumSmith+Brown greatly encourages our staff to participate in community outreach activities," Maraziti said. "And so many of our staff — as individuals or in teams — are out almost every weekend, walking, bicycling, running, Zumba-ing or parading with their pets, all for the sake of helping others in need."
