WS+B Ranks Third in 'Best Places to Work' List

At an awards ceremony held at the East Brunswick Hilton on April 25th, NJBIZ announced the rankings of its annual "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" list, with over 850 people in attendance, representing 110 New Jersey-based companies. For the eighth consecutive year, WithumSmith+Brown was a part of this prestigious list.

This year WithumSmith+Brown ranked #3 overall in the Large Company category and was ranked as the #1 accounting firm in the same category. “We are proud that, thanks to our amazing staff, our Firm remains a leader in the public accounting profession,” say Bill Hagaman, WS+B’s managing partner and CEO. "We truly believe the cornerstone of our success is the loyal and talented professionals who work here every day, dedicating themselves to our clients, to our communities and to each other."

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This phase was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This phase was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

To be eligible, companies meet the following requirements:

• Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity
• Be a publicly or privately held business
• Have a facility in the state of New Jersey
• Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the state of New Jersey
• Must be in business a minimum of 1 year
