Ivan Brown Honored as Corporate Citizen of the Year

Ivan Brown, co-founder and partner of WithumSmith+Brown (WS+B), was honored as Corporate Citizen of the Year at NJBIZ’s annual Business of the Year awards program. The event was held on December 6 at The Palace in Somerset, NJ. 

Leading by example, he has made an indelible mark on the culture of WS+B, encouraging and inspiring others to give back as well. He has effectively leveraged his community dedication into a culture of community spirit within WS+B as exemplified by the fact that 70 partners serve on 120 not-for-profit boards.

“By setting an example, our firm and its partners have embraced the philosophy of being involved,” says Brown, “and over the past 36 years, they have provided thousands of hours of volunteer service to help make our communities - and New Jersey - a better place to live.” 

Brown’s 17 years as a volunteer trustee for Bayshore Community Hospital give him his most pride. “The mission of the organization is to provide high-quality, compassionate and responsive services to all who entrust their health care needs to them” Brown says. “Volunteers are critical to achieving this goal, and I’m proud to have served on the board and on numerous committees during my tenure.”

Brown has made the life-long commitment to be involved in his community, offering his time and talents to benefit these organizations, their members, and the people they serve.
