WS+B's Jim Bourke listed in Accounting Today's "100 Most Influential People" list

James C. Bourke, WS+B Partner and Director of Firm Technology, received the honor of being listed in Accounting Today's 2010 “100 Most Influential People” list. Notable names also included on the list are President Barack Obama, Senator Chuck Grassley of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, Doug Shulman, IRS Commissioner, Daniel Goelzer, Acting Chairman of the PCAOB.

Quoting the publication’s description of Jim’s efforts, “Bourke has been a true pioneer for technology acceptance at his firm and for the CPA community at large, and tireless in his efforts to educate, advise and in some cases champion new technology for the profession.” Well-known in the business community for his expertise on social media tools, workflow and accounting firm technology, Jim has his finger on the pulse of the latest tech gadgets and software programs to help other professionals do their jobs better and more efficiently. He lives and breathes technology, and as a highly sought-after presenter and speaker on technology topics, he dedicates much of his time and energy to supporting the industry by teaching and encouraging others on how to best utilize cutting edge technology for personal and professional growth, and consults with mostly technology-based companies on their accounting tax and strategic planning needs.

Jim is the Practice Leader of our Technology Services Group, leading a team of tech-savvy professionals who assist over 200 technology clients in navigating the business issues unique to their industry.  And as Director of Firm Technology, he has the responsibility for overseeing all technology issues and operations of our Firm, and gives direction and vision to our group of talented internal technology professionals whose job is to keep WS+B functional 24/7.
