WithumSmith+Brown, PC, is pleased to announce that Bernie Leone, CPA.CITP, partner in the firm’s Morristown office, and Paul Kuhl, CPA.CITP, Senior Manager in the Princeton office, have earned the coveted Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential. Both are active members of WS+B’s Technology and Communications Group, serving the firm’s technology clientele.
The CITP is the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) credential for CPA technology professionals who illustrate business and technology acumen and ability to develop and drive the use of technology to achieve an organization’s goals and those of its clients.
Because CPA.CITPs understand both business and technology, Leone and Kuhl are able to apply technology as a catalyst for change to help their clients achieve higher levels of success. Given the nature of the credential, their clients can have the confidence in their ability to deliver a combination of both business and information technology services to solve unique business challenges.
As a CPA.CITP, Leone and Kuhl will be held to the high professional and ethical standards of the AICPA. In addition, the certification and continuing education requirements for CPA.CITPs ensure that he stays on top of new trends and technologies that can be applied within his clients’ organizations.
James C. Bourke, CPA.CITP, Partner and Practice Leader of WS+B’s Technology and Communications, earned the credential in 2008, and was one of the first professionals in the country to do so.
On a Friday morning in early December, some 150 accountants and staff boarded a Manhattan-bound R train. It's doubtful any of their fellow commuters guessed they were all from the CPA firm of WithumSmith+Brown. That is, until the dancing started.
